A video has emerged of the president of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, appearing to snub Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr.
The incident took place during the presentation of Bronze medals to the Nigerian team after they won their third-place match at the African Cup of Nations.
Odion Ighalo scored in the third minute on Wednesday to secure a 1-0 victory for Nigeria over Tunisia in the match.
The video of Pinnick appearing to snub Rohr has garnered different opinions across social media.
Earlier in the week, Amaju Pinnick had dismissed reports that head coach, Gernot Rohr, will be sacked.
Nigeria lost their semi-final match against Algeria on Sunday and speculation had gathered since that Rohr might be dismissed from his position.
Football reporter, Osasu Obayiuwana, reported that Pinnick was not thinking of sacking the German tactician.
Instead, Pinnick said: “Gernot Rohr will not be sacked as Super Eagles coach. He will remain in the job. I have complete confidence in him.”
