Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the south-west have paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja over the Kaduna plane crash which claimed the lives of the chief of army staff Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru and 10 other military officers.
The APC south-west leaders who visited the president on Monday night include Bola Tinubu, Bisi Akande, Alani Akinrinade, Segun Osoba and Pius Akinyelure.
Presidential aide Bashir Ahmad released pictures of the visit on Twitter on Tuesday.
“Last night, President @MBuhari received a condolence visit from South West leaders following the unfortunate plane crash on Friday in Kaduna that claimed the lives of late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Attahiru, along with 10 other military officers,” he tweeted.
The APC south-west leaders were the same ones who met at Lagos House, Marina on Sunday and endorsed the ban on open grazing by southern governors and shunned calls for secession across the country.
Controversies have continued to trial the meeting following the absence of some key stakeholders in south-west APC such as the minister of works and housing Babatunde Fashola and Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi.
