Planet One CEO Shaka Momoh buried

Owner of popular Planet One Hotel in Maryland, Lagos Shaka Momoh has been laid to rest.

The popular hotelier died in January of suspected COVID-19 complications.

His journey to eternity began with a service of songs on Thursday, February 4 at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

The event attended by family members and a few friends due to COVID-19 restrictions was officiated by Bishop Francis Anunobi of the New Birth Ministry International.

The first Bible reading was taken by Momoh’s son Jamaine Momoh while his daughter Kamalia Momoh took the second.

In the course of the ceremony where hymns and prayers held sway, Amanda Momoh read a brief biography of the deceased where he was described as a perfect gentleman who bent over backwards for others, drawing tears from his widow Anita Momoh.

On Friday, February 5, a funeral service was held at the highbrow Vaults & Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos. It was also presided over by Bishop Anunobi.

Momoh was subsequently buried at the vaults.

While alive, Momoh battled a court case with Wema Bank leading to the closure of Planet One Hotel for years.
