Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Plateau United, has parted company with head coach Kennedy Boboye.
Under the tutelage of Boboye, against all odds, the Peace Boys clinched the league crown last season.
They, however, failed to replicate that feat this term due to the abridged nature.
Now it appears the Jos-based club want a new course and didn’t bother to extend Boboye’s two-year deal.
Boboye confirmed this in an interview saying “I have parted ways with Plateau United, my two years contract has elapsed.”
“It is really a great feeling to have worked with such big team like Plateau United, it was a wonderful experience I must say, it’s sure going be a memory that will not fade all through my lifetime.”
“Not forgetting the high point of my career with plateau United my dream came through, was winning the league title as a coach.
“I want to thank most especially the technical director coach Ahmed Ibrahim aka coach Bros for the wonderful support giving to me all through my stay with Plateau United and also the General Manager Mr Pius for his kind gestures.
“I can’t forget my players who stood by me, they were part of my driving force without the players support i wouldn’t have achieved these much.
And also not forgetting to a big thank u to the wonderful fans of the club for their relentless support.
“We are like a family, in the rain, in the sun, in every stormy challenge we stood firm with each other, having our hand together to fight to reach our goals and dreams together
“Deep down inside feel blessed having worked with Plateau United, it is a real moment I will never forget in a hurry.
Boboye joined Plateau United two years ago from Sunshine Stars.
