Tottenham Hotspurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has verbally agreed to a two-year contract extension that will keep him at White Hart Lane until 2021.
The Argentine has become one of the most sought after coaches in the English game after guiding Spurs into second place in the Premier League.
When quizzed about the new deal, an excited Pochettino said: “I believe in this project and this club. I want to stay here.
“It was an easy decision when you feel the love of the people and the potential of the club is massive, so why change?
“We create a good atmosphere on the training ground and I think we can achieve big things in the future.”
Pochettino has overseen the dramatic rise of Spurs’ exciting young squad over the past two seasons.
Spurs will consider the 44-year-old’s contract extension a real coup as Pochettino’s name has been linked with major clubs around Europe, including Manchester United and Paris St-Germain.
