Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, abandoned the rest of his teammates for a time out with boxing champion, Anthony Joshua in Dubai on Thursday.
The United team were on a brief vacation in Asia but the Frencman took full advantage to connect with Joshua before rejoining the squad who have since returned to England.
The pair posed for a photo together on the red carpet at a bash in the United Arab Emirates as they enjoyed the warm weather in the Gulf nation.
Taking to Instagram, Joshua uploaded a photo of himself and the World Cup winner, along with close friend Leon Skinner.
The WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champion captioned the post: “A Perfect Year 2 Boss Up.”
Joshua, 29, was granted access to United’s training session earlier on in the week and wasted no time in catching up with the ex-Juventus midfielder.
The 2012 Olympic gold medallist – who also linked up with Cristiano Ronaldo recently – is currently relaxing away from boxing ahead of his next outing on April 13 at Wembley.
Pogba was a late arrival in Dubai as he recovers from a minor injury he picked up against Newcastle.
The Red Devils ace has been in brilliant form since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge, chipping in with four goals and three assists.
United have jetted back to Blighty after a four-day trip in the Middle East following their 2-0 FA Cup third round win against Championship side Reading.
They will be looking to make it six wins on the bounce on Sunday when they face Tottenham at Wembley.
