Paul Pogba has congratulated friend and imminent new team-mate, Romelu Lukaku, ahead of his move to Manchester United.
United midfielder, Pogba, has been holidaying with Lukaku in Los Angeles, where the Belgium striker is expected to undergo a medical and complete personal term ahead of United’s US tour.
The Frenchman took to Instagram on Saturday, saying “see you tomorrow in training”, after Manchester United confirmed earlier in the day that they had agreed on a deal for the 24-year-old striker.
Speaking in French, Lukaku says “it was work, we’ve sorted it, we’ve got a meeting tomorrow”. Pogba replies “what did you say?” Lukaku replies “a meeting tomorrow, can you believe it?” Pogba shouts “yes sir!”
According to reports, United will pay £75m upfront plus £15m of add-ons and Wayne Rooney will move to Goodison Park in the opposite direction.
Pogba and Lukaku have been training together at UCLA and they share the same agent, Mino Raiola.
And, as far as Chelsea are concerned, Raiola’s strong relationship with United and Jose Mourinho has landed them a player the Blues considered to be a top target themselves.
