Senior Pastor of Covenant Christian Centre, Lagos Poju Oyemade has announced that the church would resume its in-person gathering on Sunday, September 6.
The popular cleric stated this in an Instagram post on Thursday.
“The Covenant Nation Onsite Services are back!!! Yes! Services Resume at all our Centres-Yaba, Lekki & Iganmu. We sure hope you are getting ready, and have your Face Mask as well,” he wrote, urging his congregants to come along with face mask.
Oyemade also shared a video of construction works ongoing at the church’s branches, assuring the centres would be ready for worship before the set date.
The church’s decision to reopen comes about a month after the Lagos State Government gave the nod for religious centres to resume from August 7, albeit with COVID-19 safety protocols.
Pastor Sam Adeyemi of Daystar Christian Centre is among several notable preachers who have refused to open for in-person gathering.
