A suspect has been arrested in the murder of an assistant director of administration in the State House, Laetitia Naankang Dagan, police said on Wednesday.
State House deputy director of information, Attah Esa, had said in a statement on Tuesday that Ms Dagan worked in her office in Aso Rock on Monday till 8 pm.
The 47-year-old was reportedly murdered in her apartment by unknown persons around 11 pm on Monday.
FCT police spokesman, Anjuguri Manzah, said in a statement that a man, Edirin Ohonre, has been taken into custody in Abuja with other suspects still at large.
Mr Ohonre is said to be cooperating with homicide detectives investigating the incident.
