The Benue State Police Command have made several arrests following the death of fast-rising singer Terungwa Albert Ikon, known professionally as OrTrees.
According to Punch, police spokesperson Catherine Anene , said this in a recent message while confirming the death of the singer.
She added that those arrested were suspected cultists.
However, in a statement on Wednesday, OrTrees’ brother, singer Orduen Ikon, better known as OD Woods said that his brother’s body has not yet been found and one of the suspects claimed he shot OrTrees and dumped his body in a river in Benue State.
He wrote: “I met with the police in Benue state yesterday and they showed me a video confession of a suspect claiming that they shot my brother Or Trees and dumped his body in river Benue.
” His body has not been found and the person the arrested suspect mentioned as the shooter of my brother has also not been found yet. I’m still talking to the police to find everyone involved in this so that the story behind his disappearance can make sense to me and my family cos the arrested suspect doesn’t have all the answers. According to the arrested suspect, he met my brother for the 1st time that day he was shot.”
