An autopsy has been conducted on gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu who died on April 8 in Abuja.
The police carried out the autopsy on Monday amid allegations by her family that she was a victim of abuse in the hands of her husband Peter Nwachukwu, sources with knowledge of the ongoing investigation told Premium Times.
Osinachi was a lead singer at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre. She came to limelight with her hit track ‘Ekwueme’.
Osinachi was featured in several gospel songs like ‘Nara Ekele’ by the senior pastor of Dunamis church Pastor Paul Enenche and ‘You no dey use me play’ by Emma.
Speaking on behalf of her family on Sunday in an interview with Vanguard, the deceased’s older sister, Favour Made, alleged that Nwachukwu was responsible for her death.
She also dismissed claims that Osinachi died of cancer.
