Singer Naira Marley’s hairstylist has been questioned by the Nigerian Police who demanded his driver’s license.
In a now-deleted video that circulated on the internet on Friday, the police officers could be seen conducting a search on his vehicle while demanding his license.
The video also captured the officers questioning why they were being recorded by the Marlian staff. In his defence, the man said that he was already making a live video before the police stopped him.
“I dey on video already when you stopped me. I was on live video,” he replied.
According to the police the license expired in 2018.
“Oya make una drive, the small sense them no get. when una don burn all the station nothing happen. You believe say you can intimidate everybody. You go forget this motor until you get your driving license. Una just like to do,” the police officer said.
This comes after Naira Marley’s associates Mohbad and Zinoleesky were reportedly arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Lagos on Thursday over suspicion of drug possession.
