Police in Ogun have said that the remaining four pastors of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) have been rescued.
Ogun police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, had earlier said the only female among the victims, Ibelegbo Chidinma, was rescued unhurt.
In a one-paragraph statement on Saturday, Mr Opeyemi said that four other captives have also been rescued unhurt.
“The remaining four victims have been rescued unhurt by men of Ogun state police command. Details shortly,” he said.
The spokesman had said that efforts were in top gear to rescue other captives but expressed concerns that the abductors kept the victims in separate locations, adding that they were changing their locations within the forest.
The abducted pastors were on their way to the Redemption Camp for the ministers’ conference when they were kidnapped along Ijebu-Ode–Sagamu expressway on Thursday.
