Police in Lagos have sealed the venue of a symposium by a pro-RevolutionNow group, Coalition for Revolution (CORE).
Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, and human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, were among headliners who were to speak at the gathering.

The symposium was billed to hold on Monday at 46 Ibijoke Street, Oluyole bus-stop, Oregun, Lagos with the theme “Democracy, State Repression and the State of insecurity in Nigeria”.
The police have barricaded the street leading to the venue.
Convener of the RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, is being held by the Department of State Services (DSS) for the RevolutionNow protests which it described as treasonable offence.
