Armed policemen have stormed the residence of a former acting managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Joy Nunieh.
The officers arrived at her residence in Port Harcourt, Rivers State early on Thursday.
“They (police officers) came here to my home since 4a.m., they have surrounded everywhere,” she told Premium Times.
Nunieh said she has spoken with the Rivers police commissioner who denied involvement.
The former NDDC boss said she is scheduled to appear on Thursday before a committee of the House of Representatives investigating NDDC’s finances.
Nunieh said she suspects the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Godswill Akpabio to be behind the police invasion on her residence. The duo have been in a running battle.
