Emeka Ibe, son of the former minister of state for petroleum resources Ibe Kachikwu, on Saturday got married to his lover Kelechi Benwosely in Lagos.
The lovebirds said “I do” to each other at the Grand Ballroom, Oriental Hotels in Lekki, Lagos State in the presence of family, friends and well wishers.
President Muhammadu Buhari was represented at the occasion by the minister of state for labour and employment Festus Keyamo.
Commenting on the wedding, Mr Keyamo wrote on Instagram with photos, “I represented President Muhammadu Buhari today as the Special Guest of Honour at the wedding ceremony of the son of the former Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu at the Grand Ballroom, Lagos Oriental Hotels in Lekki, Lagos State.”
The wedding was attended by other high-profile individuals such as Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, publisher Dele Momodu and the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
It is another reason for celebration for the Kachikwu family as Dumebi Kachikwu recently emerged the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
