Controversial street-hop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has announced plans to release a new extended play (EP) inspired by his recent clash with the Ogun State government.

The 30-year-old made the announcement just days after being declared wanted by the police for conspiracy, assault, armed violence, breach of public peace and attempted murder through the alleged recruitment of armed thugs.

He later surrendered at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba before being transferred to the Ogun State Police headquarters.

Last Friday, he was arraigned in court on a five-count charge, including assault and unlawful possession of dangerous weapons such as cutlasses and guns.

Portable pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N20 million. His bail conditions bar him from discussing the case on social media, with the trial set to continue on March 5.

However, Portable appears to have found a way around the restriction.

In an Instagram post late Sunday, he teased his upcoming EP titled Ogo Wanted, seemingly addressing his legal troubles through music.

“OGO Wanted. Music money pass Yahoo. Zeh Nation, many inspiration,” he wrote.

His announcement sparked reactions from fans, many of whom noted that he had turned his legal drama into a creative project.

One fan commented, “Emergency album.”

Another wrote, “This one used the whole matter to record a full EP.”

“They said you shouldn’t talk online again, so now you’re using music instead?” a user quipped.

“I knew this was coming but I didn’t know it would be so soon 😂😂😂 Please tell us what happened, make the song no too long o,” another added.

Portable has not revealed a release date for the project.
