Music artiste Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has boasted about being the founder of One Million Boys and Ajah Boys, two notorious gangs in Lagos.
The controversial singer made the claim in a now-deleted video on his Instagram page.
“Open your ears and be listening. Have you heard of Ajah Boys, One Million Boys? I founded them,” Portable said in Yoruba.
He added that socialites Samlarry Eletu and Abu Abel knew him back in the day.
In July 2020, police in Oyo stated the leader of the One Million Boys gang and the most wanted Ibadan suspect, Biola Ebila, has been killed.
The gang had terrorised parts of the south-west during the coronavirus-induced lockdown which lasted weeks.
Ebila was reportedly killed around Olomi area of Ibadan.
He was declared wanted by the police for alleged involvement in the murder of another Ibadan gang leader, Ekugbemi, on May 12.
In late June, Portable reported himself at the Ogun State Police Command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
The Zazu singer was invited for assaulting a young man known as DJ Chicken in a viral video.
In a video posted on Instagram on Wednesday, May 25, Portable who got two nominations for the 2022 Headies Award, threatened to kill anyone who wins any of the categories in his place.
He said: “I’m still the owner of the rookie of the year award. Who doesn’t know Zazuu? Aboki, Hausa, Igbo, who doesn’t know my song? Even those abroad listen to me. All those awards, I own them. Whoever is given those awards apart from me, I’ll ask them to kill the person. I’ll just ask them to kill you.
“Give unto Caesar what is for Caesar. My award, give it to me. Don’t give my award to another person, if you do, you will die.”
Portable was nominated in the ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ categories.
