Portable Is an unrepentant rascal – Ogun Govt

Singer Portable

The Ogun State Government has strongly condemned controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, over his alleged assault on officials of the State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA).

According to reports, the officials were attacked at Portable’s bar in the Iyana Ilogbo area of Sango Ota while carrying out their duties.

In a statement on Friday, Governor Dapo Abiodun’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, described Portable as a “serial dissident and unrepentant rascal” who frequently assaults government officials without provocation.

Akinmade denounced the attack as “barbaric and unacceptable,” stressing that the state government would take legal action against such behavior.

He noted that the singer’s repeated acts of violence had become intolerable, causing panic and chaos in the area.

“The Ogun State Government is committed to upholding the values of Omoluabi ethos and maintaining law and order.

“Portable’s uncivil behavior is a disgrace, and those responsible will face the full weight of the law,” Akinmade said.

Meanwhile, nine of Portable’s associates were arraigned on Thursday before a Magistrates’ Court in Isabo, Abeokuta, over the alleged assault on government officials.
