Singer Portable has once again stirred up controversy by joining former music producer Samuel Oguachuba, also known as Samklef, on a live video.
This unexpected appearance ignited reactions among fans of the singer and netizens.
For some time now, Samklef has been publicly criticising Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti.
The former producer turned blogger compares Seun’s talents to those of his late father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
He argues that Seun has been riding on his father’s legacy rather than creating his own.
Samklef points out that Fela, whose father was a clergyman, built his own legendary status from scratch.
Samklef vowed to continue disrespecting Seun until he stops calling out others.
Portable’s entrance into Samklef’s live session intensified the drama.
The ‘Zazu’ singer unleashed a torrent of insults at Samklef, claiming his career was dead and suggesting he needed to “jump inside water to resuscitate” it.
Portable didn’t hold back, declaring, “You dey alive, your career die.”
In stark contrast, Portable praised Seun Kuti, insisting that the music star should not be disrespected.
“Set awon biggest bird ni Seun Kuti,” Portable stated, reaffirming his respect for the Afrobeat singer.
When Samklef inquired about Portable’s relationship with Zlatan Ibile, Portable replied, “Go and ask him, don’t you have his number?”
The exchange ended with Portable continuing to hurl insults at Samklef, accusing him of being too afraid to show his face in public.
