Singer Portable has addressed the rumour about him dating Olori Damilola one of the widows of the late Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.
The monarch died on April 22, 2020. He was the longest reigning Alaafin, having ruled for 51 years. Oyo State Government is yet to appoint a new Alaafin since then.
Portable on Monday spoke on the rumour during an appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast hosted by media personality Nedu Wazobia and others.
The controversial musician said that Olori Damilola, also known as Queen Dami, has been his fan for a long time and that he has no child with her.
He added that he started having things to do with her following the demise of Oba Adeyemi.
However, he concluded that he wouldn’t have been in any relationship with her if the Alaafin were alive, stating that he doesn’t follow another man’s wife.
He said, “She’s my fan from day one. I later hear say king don die, after king na king. If to say king never die you no go see me with am. I no dey follow person wife.”
