Musicians Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable and Darlington Okoye, aka Speed Darlington, are set to face off in a celebrity boxing match to resolve their long-standing feud.

The much-anticipated bout, tagged Chaos in the Ring: Battle for Glory, will take place on April 18 at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, starting at 6 p.m.

Speed Darlington and Portable have been at loggerheads since Darlington offered the Zazuu Zeh crooner N500,000 to perform at his show.

Portable turned down the offer, mocking Darlington as “poor” and insisting he charges N20 million per appearance. He also accused the rapper of using his name for publicity.

Darlington, in response, expressed regret over reaching out, questioning why he had stooped to contacting Portable.

Their feud escalated when Portable challenged him to a fight, which has now been officially organised by Mygamerush due to public demand.

Following the announcement, Speed Darlington shared a video of himself training in a boxing ring, signaling his readiness.

Portable, on the other hand, dismissed the event as another attempt by Darlington to gain relevance.

The dispute took a dramatic turn when Darlington was spotted in a coffin shop, allegedly purchasing a casket in what appeared to be a symbolic message to Portable.

He was heard requesting a “shiny” coffin, fueling speculation about the intensity of their rivalry.

Portable, however, remains confident, boasting that he would defeat Darlington just as he had done with actor Charles Okocha in a previous face-off.

This is not the first time the two have clashed. In May 2024, Speed Darlington mocked Portable following his arrest by the Lagos State Police over an alleged debt related to a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.
