Precious Chikwendu, wife of a former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has confirmed that she is pregnant with triplets.
The Anambra-born former beauty queen posted the confirmation along with a series of beautiful pictures on Instagram on Sunday.
She said the pictures were taken some weeks ago but could not be made public because of the death of her mother clouded her joy.
“Been cold for a while, still in denial, she remains irreplaceable even in death. But hey I’ve got to be the strong, cheerful and brave woman she knew. So as we await these amazing young ones, I celebrate you my angels, your presence would definitely cheer me up and I’m totally up for the new experience and challenges of being a trip-mama,” the 28-year-old wrote.
News of the pregnancy first broke online in January but the couple did not confirm the development.
Fani-Kayode posted a picture of his pregnant wife on Instagram on May 1 but didn’t disclose that they were expecting multiple births.
“Precious is my love and Precious she will be forever. Strong is my heart and each beat is for her. Her smile stirs my spirit and her radiance touches my soul. Hers is the beauty of Helen of Troy: she is everything to me. For her I will fight a thousand Trojan wars,” the 57-year-old wrote.
Fani-Kayode and Precious already have a two-year-old son, Aragorn, together.
The former minister was previously married to Saratu Atta, Yemisi Adeniji and Regina-Hanson Amonoo.
