President Bola Tinubu and actor Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, have expressed their condolences to Fuji icon Wasiu Ayinde, also known as K1 de Ultimate, following the death of the musician’s mother Halima Anifowoshe, at the age of 105.
K1 announced the loss on Saturday on Instagram, sharing a heartfelt post with a photo of himself and his late mother.
The caption read, “Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi Raji’un. RIP Mama.”
Fans, colleagues, and well-wishers have since flooded social media with prayers and messages of support.
In a tribute, Oga Bello shared a photo of K1 with his mother on Instagram and wrote:
“There is never a perfect time to lose a loved one, especially one’s parents, no matter how old they become.
“Accept my deepest condolences Alhaji @kingwasiuayindemarshal on the glorious demise of your precious mother. May Allah make Aljannah Firdaos her final abode.”
President Bola Tinubu also reached out to the grieving Fuji legend through a phone call, which K1 acknowledged in an Instagram post.
This loss comes shortly after another tragedy for K1, as one of his wives, Hafsat Anifowoshe, passed away on Tuesday following an undisclosed illness.
