Musician Pretty Okafor has been re-elected to serve another four years as the national president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN).
Mr Okafor who ran unopposed was announced the winner of the election by the electoral chairman on Tuesday with a total vote of 50.
The announcement was followed by a round of applause from other members of the association.
Drummer Lola Olamuyiwa was also sworn in as the new governor of PMAN in Lagos State and was issued a certificate of return.
At the inauguration ceremony, Okafor said the new governor was chosen because of her work ethic.
A grateful Lola also took to her Instagram account to announce her new appointment.
“Thank you to God Almighty for a successful swearing-in ceremony today as PMAN Governor Lagos state chapter,” she wrote with photos showing of her certificate.

Pretty Okafor is a fine arts graduate of Yaba College of Technology. He is widely acknowledged as the pioneer of the Afro-hip-hop genre in the late 1980s.
However, he gained even greater popularity as PMAN president. Since assuming office in October 2016, Okafor, renowned for his musical fame with ‘Junior and Pretty,’ has steered the association’s affairs and achieved significant milestones during his tenure.
