Prof Sunday Ododo on Wednesday resumed as general manager/chief executive officer of the National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos.
Ododo is a professor of performance aesthetics and theatre technology in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID).
A gifted playwright, he has served as national vice president of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) and president of the Society of Nigeria Theatre Artists (SONTA).
His appointment took effect on September 1 according to a statement by the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture last month.
Ododo replaces Stella Oyedepo who died in April on the first anniversary of her appointment.
