Founder and head prophet of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM) in Effurun, Delta State Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin has sued social media influencer Martins Otse aka VeryDarkMan for claiming he stages miracles.
VeryDarkMan announced the suit in a video posted on his Instagram page on Wednesday night, revealing he has been served with the charges.
The social media influencer said he was unperturbed and would see the cleric in court.
This comes weeks after VeryDarkMan criticised Fufeyin for selling miracle products including soap, shirt, perfume and mustard seed.
The Delta-born prophet claimed that the soap was powerful and could cure any disease, particularly benefiting those suffering from disappointment, failure, and delays in achieving their life goals.
He also stated that the soap is approved by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and that the mustard seed was a gift from God capable of overcoming obstacles for those who had purchased land but faced unforeseen building challenges.
Fufeyin, in his suit, asked the court to grant him N1 billion in damages against the influencer for damaging his reputation and also restrain VeryDarkMan from speaking about him.
“I am coming to the court with 800 deaf people, 700 blind people, and 36 women who are looking for the fruit of the womb, you must use your healing water and soap to heal all of them in front of the judge,” VeryDarkMan said in the video.
He captioned the post, “Pastor Jeremiah has su€d me 1 billion naira for d^mages and that I can’t talk about his products again.”
Teasing the cleric, he added, “Can I get one key so I can sell and pay you?”
