Racine and Ruth Bousso were on Sunday absent at the memorial service held for the founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet TB Joshua.
Prophet Racine as he was known in his SCOAN days, was one of the wise men mentored by Joshua.
He was last seen in the church in January after helping Joshua’s widow Pastor Evelyn Joshua stabilise the megachurch after a succession crisis.
His wife had left along with her brother Christopher Tonge and other senior members in September 2021 after Evelyn became the new leader of SCOAN.
Racine and Ruth got married in the UK on February 14, 2022.
Although the couple were absent at Joshua’s memorial, they released a joint tribute on Saturday, June 4, a day before the event.
The tribute read in parts “Ruth and I have decided since our marriage to keep quiet and surrender our lives and ways under the leading of God, who has assigned to each human being a destiny. The Lord is revealing to us His plan for our lives as we are at His feet.
“On the occasion of June 5, 2022, one year since our beloved mentor was called Home, it is a time to reflect on the memories of yesterday, the joys of today and the dreams of tomorrow.
“Our beloved mentor, it is already June 5th, one year since you departed; this is a time to reflect on the memories of yesterday, the joys of today and the dreams of tomorrow.”
Joshua’s four other wise men John Chi, Daniel, Harry and Christopher were at the memorial for their mentor.
Racine and Ruth had revealed earlier that they were in retreat before God in prayers, amid speculation that they had started their own ministry after leaving SCOAN.
