Prophetess Anne, a former senior member of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), has joined in prayers for Ukraine following invasion by the Russian military.
Thousands of Ukrainians and foreigners have been displaced since Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered what he called a “special military operation” in Ukraine on Thursday, February 24.
Ukrainian authorities say over 100 persons have been killed in the invasion, including civilians.
Anne prayed in a post to Instagram on Saturday, February 26 that Russia would give peace a chance.
“How my heart goes out to the country of Ukraine and those in the trouble spot countries right now. I also pray that the nation of Russia listen to the voice of peace because the voice of peace is the voice of God,” she said.
The clergywoman quoted her mentor the late Prophet TB Joshua who founded SCOAN where she trained as a prophetess.
She said, “My father and mentor Prophet T.B. Joshua says, ‘War begins with words, peace begins with words, words created the world and words will create our world. Peace begins when great men come together and dialogue.'”
Concluding her prayer, Anne said, “I pray that both nations listen to the voice of reason to make peace for the sake of generations coming and those yet unborn! Everyone wishes to have a history but this is not the history we have prayed for. We pray the Lord gives them rest on every side in Jesus mighty name! Amen.”
Anne is not the only known disciple of Joshua to have spoken publicly about the crisis in Ukraine.
Prophetess Yinka Olugbenga also prayed in an Instagram post on Friday, February 25 that God would show mercy to Ukraine and grant them salvation.
“#Ukraine Our hearts go towards our brethren in this troubled part of the world. LORD, show your mercy, grant them salvation LORD,” she said.
