As the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) held a memorial service for its founder Prophet TB Joshua on Sunday, two former senior members of the church, Prophetesses Yinka and Anne went on a charity drive at an undisclosed location in Lagos.
The duo shared pictures and videos from the event on their individual Facebook pages, with Yinka writing “Celebration of life and remembrance of the life of Prophet TB Joshua. We are in an area on the outskirts of Lagos.”
Continuing a tradition they got from Joshua, the two women and their partners distributed bags of rice and cash to indigent and disabled people.
Anne, who was a worship leader sang in Hausa to beneficiaries of the gifts who were predominantly Muslims from Northern Nigeria.
Evangelists Joseph and Elizabeth, two of the three former disciples who recently launched the BOLD Mission, accompanied Yinka and Anne on the charity drive.
It is believed that there is a cold war between Evelyn Joshua and some of her husband’s disciples who left SCOAN to start their own ministries.
The charity event Yinka and Anne held on Sunday was similar to the one Evelyn did with SCOAN on Tuesday, May 31, in the Alaba Rago area of Lagos, which is inhabited predominantly by Muslims from Northern Nigeria. Many of those who received Mrs. Joshua’s gifts were disabled too.
