A commercial motorcyclist with ride-hailing platform, Gokada, simply known as Sandra has been gifted a car by Kokun Foundation.
Sandra was among those affected by the ban on commercial motorcyclists also known as Okada and tricycles in Lagos.
The ban which took effect on February 1 affects six local government areas and nine local council developments areas in the state.
Sandra was contacted by the foundation after a video of her joining other Gokada riders in protest against the ban went viral.
Sandra said she earned a national diploma at Yaba College of Technology and that she intends to return to the college for her higher national diploma.
She added that she could not go back to work for N20,000 salary every month when she makes N20,000 daily with Gokada.
Sandra was on Tuesday presented a Toyota Corolla 2004 model by the foundation to join Uber.
Chinonso Okoye, believed to be in charge of the foundation, also presented N50,000 to Sandra to facilitate registration of the car.
