Actress Rachael Okonkwo has mourned her late mum Edith Okonkow on All Souls’ Day.
All Souls’ Day also known as the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed and the Day of the Dead is a day of prayer and remembrance for the faithfully departed, which is observed by Roman Catholics and other Christian denominations annually on November 2.
The actress in an Instagram post on Wednesday joined others in remembering their loved ones in prayers.
She wrote: “Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May Edith okonkwo’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.”
Rachael announced the death of her mum in July 2020 on Instagram, although she did not reveal the cause of death.

In another Instagram post, the actress shared the picture of a burning candle with the caption, “My life will never remain the same.”
Mrs Okonkwo (nee Emehelu) was buried in September 2020.
