Celebrities like Rachael Okonkwo, Ngozi Ezeonu and the national president at the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Emeka Rollas have mourned actress Chinedu Bernard.
The actress was said to have slumped on Friday while cleaning the Chapel of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church inside Federal Housing area in Enugu State.
Reacting to the news of her death in an Instagram post in the early hours of Saturday, Emeka said his heart bleeds.
He noted that he was about to speak on Yul Edochie‘s second wife saga before he got the news about the death of Chinedu and another actor Chima Precious.
“My heart is heavy. Just about when I wanted to speak on my brother Yul Edochie and the polygamy saga I was informed of the death of these young and budding actors Chima Precious in Abuja and Chinedu Bernard in Enugu.
” My heart bleeds. Actors need a special day to call on God. I have therefore set up a three man prayer committee to design a prayer link that members of our Guild would join from all the states. This committee headed by Apostle Eucharia Anunobi. Other myers are: Pascal Amanfo and Arinze Okonkwo.”
Reacting in the comment section of the post, Ngozi wrote: “Have mercy lord.”
Rachael reacted with a broken heart emoji.
Other celebrities like Monalisa Chinda, Benedict Johnson, Eucharia Anunobi, Eve Esin, Oge Okoye and others joined them in mourning the actors.
