Actress Rahama Sadau has expressed heartbreak over the death of Kannywood actress Saratu Gidado, popularly known as Daso.
Saratu’s family announced the shocking death to Freedom Radio on Tuesday, saying that the actress was found dead in the morning.
They said she was found dead after Sahur, the early-morning Muslim breakfast for those observing the Ramadan fasting.
Reacting to the tragic news, Rahama Sadau shared Saratu’s pictures on her Instagram account with heartbreak and tears emojis.
She prayed for Allah’s mercy on the deceased.
She wrote: “INNALILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHIR RAJIUN. May God have mercy on Mama Saratu Daso. 😥
“May Allah make paradise your final abode mother. 😭
“Ameen thumma Ameen.”
Daso was born on January 17, 1968, in the city of Kano.
She was particularly known for the comical roles she played as an aggressive and mischievous woman.
She made her debut in 2000 in a movie titled Linzami Da Wuta, produced by Sarauniya Movies.
