Journalist and television host Kadaria Ahmed has described Kannywood actress Rahama Sadau as “beautiful and gorgeous” in the backless dress which has caused a storm on social media.
Rahama shared pictures of herself in the dress as a way to wish her fans well in the month of November. But many conservative Twitter users saw the dress as inappropriate.
Ms Ahmed on Monday, however, appeared to approve the dress.
Her unedited words read: “Beautiful and gorgeous @Rahma_sadau in fact ayyam jealousing you.”
Meanwhile, Rahama is not a stranger to controversies.
She was criticised in 2016 after appearing in a music video with singer Classiq where she and the singer touched each other suggestively.
Rahama was consequently banned from Kannywood by the Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria (MOPAN) Kano branch.
The actress, however, claimed the ban opened many doors for her outside northern Nigeria.
The ban was lifted in 2018 by Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje after she apologised.
But months after receiving the ban, Rahama got into another controversy after she was seen in a photo hugging and holding hands with US singer Akon whom she met on the set of Jeta Amata’s movie The America King.
The Kaduna-born actress got into trouble again in 2019 when she launched Sadauz Home in Kaduna. Her critics said she opened a Shisha lounge apart from restaurant where Shisha smokers can have a good time.
Rahama joined Kannywood in 2013 after popular actor Ali Nuhu spotted her dancing in Kaduna. She featured in her first movie ‘Gani Ga’ in that same year.
