The class of 1988 of Ransome Kuti Memorial Grammar School recently returned to the school to celebrate its 35th anniversary.
Five years ago when the class celebrated the 30th anniversary of their graduation, it became an internet sensation. They celebrated in their school uniforms and were present at the school’s morning assembly along with present students. Some were asked to kneel for not wearing appropriate sandals meant for students.
Five years later, they also joined in the assembly dressed in their school uniform. They engaged in inter-house sports and also had march parades with house queens.
The 88 set presented a refurbished sick bay to the school as well as laptop bags to deserving students and teachers in collaboration with Dell Technologies Nigeria.
In the past few years, they have sponsored several indigent students.
They also visited old people’s home in the Sabo area of Lagos and presented gifts to them. The anniversary ended with a thanksgiving programme and gala night on November 25.
