Rapper-music producer Big Daddy Jayy aka Beats By Jayy has died from COVID-19 complications, the family announced on Sunday.
The Rapper died on Saturday November 20, 2021.
In a statement signed by Frank Chujor, the family asked for privacy to grieve the tragic loss.
“It’s with a heavy heart that we announced the passing of multi talented producer/singer/songwriter David Chujor-Idowu aka Beats By Jay. He passed away at the age of 28 following complications from COVID 19. He is survived by his mother and siblings. We would appreciate that you grant us utmost privacy as we grieve this tragic loss, ” the statement read.
The music producer’s friend Whykay took to Instagram on Sunday to mourn him.
“I just lost my friend @beatsbyjayy JAY!! He’s gone! A great and f*cking talented producer !!! No nowwwww !!! He was a good person !We had plans. We were working on a project together !!! WE FUKN HAD PLANS! Talking about doing more jobs along side the present Jay was a rare talent ! He did things differently! He was calm a good Guy! This isn’t Fair #beatsbyjayy, ” she wrote.
Jayy has collaborated and produced for several rappers like MI Agba, Blaqbonez, Loose Kaynon and AQ.
In 2021, he produced ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ by Loose Kaynon and ‘Sex Over Love’ by Blaqbonez.
