American hip hop act, Future, has been announced as headline performer at the 2016 MTV Africa Music Award (MAMA) alongside African acts such as, Yemi Alade, Diamond Platnumz, Babes Wodumo, Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, Emtee, Patoranking, Ycee and Alikiba.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, 32-year-old Future is certified gold with tracks like ‘Turn on the Lights’, ‘Move That Dope’, ‘Where Ya At’, ‘Jumpman’ and ‘Low Life’.
The MAMA stage has previously been graced by international acts such as Neyo and Jhene Aiko.
More stars are expected to be announced to perform at this year’s ceremony holding at the Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg, South Africa on October 22.
The Road to MAMA concert comes up in Lagos on Sunday, October 2.
