Reality TV star Zari Hassan, known for her role on Young, Famous and African, has extended support to actress Annie Idibia following the latter’s separation from music legend 2Baba.
The gesture comes despite the pair’s tense history on the Netflix series.

The drama escalated further when Zari openly criticised Annie during a group gathering, mocking her relationship with 2Baba.
Zari’s remarks, which many interpreted as sarcastic, appeared to reference Annie’s long-standing struggles with her husband’s infidelities—an issue often highlighted on the show.
She suggested that Annie’s fierce defense of 2Baba’s past actions portrayed her as insecure and overly dependent on their marriage.
In a confessional, Zari clarified that her comments were intended to prompt self-reflection rather than harm Annie.
The narrative took a dramatic turn late Sunday when 2Baba publicly announced their separation, revealing that they were heading for divorce.
The announcement sparked a wave of reactions online, with many sympathising with Annie and questioning the need for a public disclosure of such personal matters.
In an unexpected show of solidarity, Zari shared a motivational quote on Instagram on Tuesday, emphasising self-love.
“When you choose yourself, everything around you will choose you too,” she wrote, following it up with a heartfelt prayer and the caption, “We love you, Annie.”
Zari also posted a photo of herself with Annie, adding, “AFRICA loves you baby girl @annieidibia1,” signaling her full support during this challenging time.
