The mother of Dr. Allwell Orji, who jumped off the Third Mainland Bridge into the Lagos Lagoon on Sunday, has said the body recovered by marine policemen is not that of her son.
Spokesperson for the Zone 2 Police Command, SP Dolapo Badmos, according to a report by Punch said: “The mother has come to identify the body recovered, but she said the deceased was not her son.”
The paper had earlier reported that the doctor’s body was found at about 11.30am on Tuesday.
The unmarried 35-year-old doctor was living with his mother on Odunukan Street, Abule Ijesha, Yaba, Lagos State, at the time of his death.
