Actors Regina Chukwu, Odunlade Adekola and several others have shown support for their colleague Biola Adebayo, who held an eight-day Fidau prayer in honour of her late mother, Nurat Adebayo.

The prayer session, held on Wednesday, was attended by numerous industry colleagues who came to sympathise with Biola.

Among those present were Bose Alao, Allwell Ademola, Oyinade Adegbenro, Tawa Ajisefini, Ronke Oshodi-Oke and veteran actress Lola Idije.

Recall that Biola had broken down in tears during her mother’s final rites on February 12, 2025.

A video shared by the actress showed her weeping alongside other mourners as her mother was laid to rest.

Expressing her grief, she described her heartbreak, writing, “My heart is shattered. I wish this pain would go away now, but I know ALL IS WELL!”

A day before the burial, Biola released an official statement announcing her mother’s death.

“With a heavy heart and complete submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mrs. Mojisola Nurat Adebayo Nee Adelakun, who departed this world on the evening of Tuesday, February 11, 2025,” the statement read.

Fondly called Iya Wale or Ejoyin, the late Mrs. Adebayo was remembered as a woman who lived 68 impactful years, filled with love, kindness, and wisdom.

According to Biola, her mother was a pillar of strength who instilled patience, tolerance, and love in those around her.

“In accordance with Islamic rites, she was laid to rest on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. As we reflect on her impactful life, the family held the 8th Day Fidau prayers to honor her memory,” she added.
