Actress Regina Daniels has gifted her senior colleague Iyabo Ojo the sum of N500,000 to support the latter on the forthcoming memorial of her mum Victoria Fetuga.
Iyabo Ojo made this known in an Instagram post on Friday.
Expressing her gratitude to the actress for the gift, Iyabo wrote, “My cupcake, my so overwhelmed with this show of love & support, I do not take it for granted. Regina Daniels love you doll & thanks for this huge gift, bless you always.”
Singer Tiwa Savage also donated the sum of N500,000 to the actress in October.
Appreciating her on Instagram, Iyabo wrote, “Awwwwwwwww my brown chocolate our very own African Queen Tiwa Savage God bless you loads, I’m so overwhelmed, honestly……. Thank you once again, Love you loads.”
Iyabo has been using the hashtag #VOF2021 to promote her mother’s first remembrance and final burial ceremony.
Her mother’s full name is Victoria Olubnunmi Fetuga.
The 43-year-old has been sending the aseobi for the memorial ceremony to her invitees.
Actress Peggy Ovire, Moyo Lawal, Nkechi Blessing and Elizabeth Omowunmi posted their aseobi and invitation card on Instagram.
Iyabo had announced in January 2021 that she was going to throw a big party for her mum on her one-year remembrance.
She announced the death of her mum in November 2020.
According to her, her mum passed away in her sleep. Mrs Fetuga was buried at the Ebony Vault Ikoyi, Lagos State.
