Rita Daniels, mother of actress Regina Daniels, has mourned the national woman leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Prof. Stella Effah-Attoe.
Effah-Attoe’s death was announced by the party’s national publicity secretary Debo Ologunagba in a statement on Sunday. The cause of death was not stated.
Reacting to the tragic news in a statement via Instagram on Wednesday, Rita, who was recently appointed as the senior special adviser to Delta State governor on women mobilization, said that Effah-Attoe’s death is a colossal loss to the PDP family.
The statement read: “Chief Mrs Dame Rita Daniels Chukwuji, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Women Mobilization & Empowerment to Delta state Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwor has expressed sadness over the passage of the National Women Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Prof. Effah-Attoe, saying it is a colossal loss to the PDP family.
“She said Prof. Effah-Attoe a former Commissioner for Education in Cross River for an exemplary leader whose commitment to the ideal of egalitarian society was unpretentious.
“In a condolence message on Tuesday, the Governor’s aide noted that Prof. Effah-Attoe stands a giant epitome of sound principle and moral uprightness to the younger generation, adding that her motherly role in building peace and fostering unity within the ranks of the party.”

Rita who is also an actress like her daughter added: “The passage of our dear Women Leader, Prof. Effah-Attoe came with a rude shock to me, end of an era that came just after a brief illness.
“Her positive energy and doggedness in driving women inclusion across board is one of a kind.
“Her legacy of integrity and sound moral compass as well as dexterity in leadership will for a long time remain fresh in our memory.”
