Former president of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Ibinabo Fiberesima, has said that actress Regina Daniels and husband, Ned Nwoko, deserve to be happy together.
The news of their marriage has sparked diverse reactions on social media and beyond.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Ibinabo expressed her opinion that as consenting adults they should be allowed to live their lives.
“I stand with Prince Ned and Regina Nwoko and their inalienable right to happiness. I say to them Happy Married life. May God bless your union with joy and beautiful children,” she wrote in parts.
In another post, she criticised fellow veteran, Shan George, for publicly insulting Nwoko, “I must say along the line I found most deplorable and downright disappointing the comment of my sister and friend Shan George. Though she deleted it (of course she forgot the Internet and it’s complexities) I found her comment rude and frankly ill thought.”
Late last month, Regina Daniels had gone public with her reported romance with Ned Nwoko.
The duo stepped out together as the Federal University of Petroleum (FUPRE), Effurun, Delta State conferred a doctor of science degree (honoris causa) on Nwoko.
They also held a traditional wedding in Delta state officially making Regina the sixth wife of the 59-year-old businessman.
