Former presidential media aide Reno Omokri has body shamed media entrepreneur Dele Momodu following the escalation of their clash on social media.
On Thursday, Momodu wrote a piece which he shared on social media, advising President Bola Tinubu to cut down on spending as the economy had “virtually collapsed.” Omokri reacted, saying it was false.
Unhappy with Omokri’s reaction, Momodu said the former presidential aide was blindly supporting Tinubu.
In response, Omokri alleged that Momodu’s Ovation Magazine had published over 50 articles praising Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
He wrote: “My egbon Dele Momodu has written over fifty publications praising Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun. And I do not begrudge him that. But is he saying the situation in Osun is better than the situation at the centre?”
Reacting, the celebrity journalist said: “RENO. I challenge you to quote the 50 times I praised GOVERNOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE. You’re desperately looking for justification for your TINUBU project. Awaiting your list MR TABLESHAKER…”
Not happy with the response, Omokri said Momodu’s Instagram page had become a “shrine” to Adeleke.
He challenged the Ovation Media Group founder to take him to court if he has not used his “social media profiles to praise Governor Adeleke at least fifty times.”
Momodu then asked if Omokri was too lazy “to see quotation marks on my posts of press releases like I do with others.”
He challenged Omokri to post the 50 praises “or keep quiet”.
Omokri posted a video of himself at a gym doing pushups.
He said anyone accusing him of laziness should join him in the pushups.
“Thank you for your feedback, sir. It is not that I am too lazy. How can anybody look at me and accuse me of laziness? I am slim, fit and very active in the boardroom, bedroom and newsroom. When you see a lazy person, you can tell by their body,” he said.
