Replace my birthday pictures with health workers- Yomi Fabiyi

Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, has asked friends and fans who plan to pay tributes to him on his next birthday, to replace his photograph with that of the health workers working so hard to defeat the coronavirus pandemic.

The Agbede Meji star made the request in a post he shared across social media on Wednesday.

He wrote, ”My birthday is May 1 but I want to appeal to whoever wish to post my picture to replace it with pictures of health care workers. If conventional war, will I celebrate? COVD-19 is war, let’s appreciate them…”

Dear Fans, Friends & Family, At this trying time of global health war, it is pertinent to know that citizens like us are battling with their lives against this unseen enemy CORONA VIRUS and health care workers #healthcareworkers are sacrificing their all to save as many lives as they can despite no cure or vaccine in sight yet. Coincidentally my Birthday is on the 1st of May. Traditionally few fans, friends and well wishers will love to post my pictures on various social media platforms to celebrate my day with me, something I always value and hold in high esteem. However, I want to make this HUMBLE APPEAL that if you ever wish to celebrate me, I'd prefer you REPLACE my picture with that of any #healthcareworker, related graphics or memes. This will make my day and make me exceedingly happy. I trust you will do that for me. I have an unimmeasurable gratitude towards all health care professionals, first responders and law enforcement particularly during this recent pandemic in the frontline. My heart and prayers goes out to all of them and those battling to survive. And to those who lost loved ones to the disease, my sincere condolences and may Almighty bring you succour. Actress, Ufuoma McDermott, also asked her fans for a special 39th birthday present on April 23.

She asked them to honour her by showing love to their friends and family members.
