A member of the library staff at the University of Ilesa (UNILESA) in Osun State Fanimo Ogunmokun died on Wednesday after a cashew container fell on her car.
The accident happened along Ilesa/Ibodi Expressway, a few meters away from the university’s main entrance.
It was learnt that Mrs Ogunmokun was trapped for hours under the container before she was brought out lifeless.
Spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kehinde Adeleke told journalists that Ogunmokun was to retire this April.
“One Mrs Fanimo Ogunmokun was killed after cashew truck container fell on her car. She is a staff of Unilesa who is retiring this month from service,” said Adeleke.
“The truck, which belongs to an agro industry in Ilesa, was later lifted up to recover the corpse of Mrs Fanimokun. The corpse has been removed from the scene.”
