Arise News anchor Reuben Abati on Sunday, April 23 attended the birthday party of his co-anchor Ojy Okpe with his new wife Kikelomo Atanda-Owo.
The party held at Kaly Restaurant & Bar Lounge in Victoria Island had friends, colleagues, relatives and associates of Ms Okpe in attendance.
A picture of the couple taken at the party and published in ThisDay Style on Sunday, April 30 identified the woman as Kikelomo Atanda-Owo Abati.
Arise News and ThisDay newspapers are owned by media mogul Nduka Obaigbena.
Kikelomo is Abati’s third wife.
His first wife is Iyabode whom he met when he was 26 and she 23.
The 57-year-old former spokesman to ex-President Goodluck got married to another woman named Omolara who put together his 50th birthday in November 2015 six months after he left Aso Rock.
The union with Omolara was, however, short-lived, leaving both parties bruised and bitter.
Abati’s new wife Kikelomo has also been married twice before.
Her last marriage was to Professor Ademola Abass, former special adviser on overseas affairs and investment to former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos.
She gave her account of the marriages in her book titled Unbroken which Abati reviewed when it was presented to the public in 2021.
Abati also edited her second book titled RealTalk Diary Quotes in 2022.
The celebrated writer referred to Kikelomo as “this special gem in my life” in a message posted on Instagram to celebrate her birthday in October last year.
He has at other times called her his intellectual sparring partner, gist partner and friend.
