Former soldier Private Ruth Ogunleye has pleaded with the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja to look again into her case.
In January, Ogunleye called out a senior officer Colonel I.B Abdulkareem on TikTok accusing him of sexual harassment.
She claimed that Abdulkareem made repeated attempts to assault her, administered injections against her will, forcibly removed her from her residence and confined her in a psychiatric hospital for several months.
Last month, the army said it discharged Ogunleye on medical grounds.
Army spokesman Major General Onyema Nwachukwu told journalists in Abuja that after investigation was conducted it was determined that Abdulkareem did not commit the offences alleged by Ogunleye.
He said it was discovered that the soldier had a medical condition which meant she could not continue in the army.
However, in a post on Tuesday on her TikTok page, Ogunleye urged the army to review her case.
She also apologised to Lagbaja for “disrespecting” him in the bid to prove her innocence.
“From the depth of my heart, I am very sorry, sir. I apologise; please have mercy on me for disrespecting you, have mercy on me.
“This concerns my name and reputation. It is not good for someone to be stigmatised. Stigma can lead people to despair.
“I also plead with you to consider reviewing the case. I feel someone somewhere tampered with the results.
“I do not want to say much about this video; please find a place in your heart to forgive me,” she said.
