Actress Rita Dominic has dismissed claims that she prevented the press from covering a birthday celebration in Ghana.
Addressing the rumours on her Instagram Story on Monday, Rita described the reports as false and baseless.
She emphasised that, as a public figure, she understands the role of the media and would never attempt to obstruct journalists in a public setting.
“Duh, a person who does the job I do and is out in a public place would not stop the press from doing their job. That’s lame. Stop making up stories that don’t make sense,” she wrote.
The actress urged the public to ignore the false reports and refrain from spreading misinformation.
Rita Dominic was among the high-profile guests at the 40th birthday celebration of Ghanaian businessman Richard Nii-Armah Quaye in Accra.
The star-studded event, held at Independence Square, also had Nollywood actors Ini Edo and Ramsey Nouah in attendance, along with other celebrities from Nigeria and Ghana.
The gathering highlighted the strong ties between the entertainment industries of both countries.
